In recognition of Angela Newton, our esteemed President whose service dates to 2005, the Friends will be dedicating this event in her memory. Angela sadly passed away in 2022, This special event is a tribute to Angela’s remarkable contributions and dedication to our cause.
In 2020, Angela was instrumental in securing over £44,000 from the residuary fund of the Pennygate Patient Link, which enabled the purchase of an ultrasound machine. This significant acquisition facilitated cataract operations at Johnson Community Hospital, sparing patients the need to travel to Boston, Peterborough, or Lincoln.
Steve Weatherly-Barton, Chairman said: “Angela led the Friends firmly, inspired by her love for our hospital, and her passionate grasp of the ideals and vision of our National Health Service.”
Our upcoming Summer Fayre will be the first to take place since before Covid 19. It is with great delight that we have been given permission by the hospital management to hold our Fayre once again in the hospital grounds.
Please join us for an afternoon filled with fun activities, entertainment, refreshments, and community spirit as we celebrate Angela’s legacy. Proceeds from the Summer Fayre will go towards continuing Angela’s hard work and commitment to aid our hard-working nursing staff and the care for the patients they serve.
