On behalf of the Friends of Johnson Community Hospital, I would like to extend our most sincere thanks to everyone who attended our Summer Fayre on the 13th in honour of our former President, Angela Newton, MBE. Angela’s service dated to 2005. She sadly passed away in 2022. This special event was a tribute to Angela’s remarkable contributions and dedication to the Friends. I would also like to thank all the local business owners who gave so generously to the raffle and also to the Spalding Lions, the Inner Wheel, Nurse Danielle and Pinchbeck WI for your support and a round of applause for the all the members who manned the stalls. You all worked so incredibly hard – thank you.
We are now looking to build on our success and start to plan ahead for next year’s fundraising events. We are confident that with our team spirit, we can achieve great things.
Spalding and the surrounding areas are fortunate to have such a wonderful community hospital. The Friends are looking forward to buying even more equipment to make the lives of patients more pleasant and to support the hardworking nurses and ancillary staff with much-needed equipment.
I’m delighted to report that with your help, we made, with all bills paid, £1,000 on the day. What a fantastic effort!
