A Heart-Warming Success for The Friends’ Christmas Fayre

The Friends’ Christmas Fayre proved to be a great success, raising an impressive £1,000 for our charity despite the appalling weather. The local community is fortunate to have the Johnson Community Hospital, and their support was clearly shown as they turned out in difficult conditions to help us raise money for the hardworking nurses, auxiliary staff, and for the comfort of the patients.

The Friends would like to express their sincere thanks to The Spalding Community Choir for entertaining everyone with Christmas songs throughout the afternoon. Terry from the choir commented: “What a successful afternoon considering the weather. The atmosphere was special and we really enjoyed performing for you all. We thoroughly enjoyed the way we were welcomed and offered a drink straightaway.”

Grateful thanks also go to Pinchbeck WI for providing teas, coffees, and their delicious homemade cakes, to the Tollgate WI for running the tombola stall, and to the Inner Wheel for organising the bottle stall.

Most of all, The Friends wish to thank the local community for braving such a grim day to show their support. Their generosity ensures that we can continue to provide much-needed equipment and comfort for patients and support for the hospital staff.
