A Little Comfort for Young Patients at Johnson Community Hospital

The Friends of Johnson Community Hospital are delighted to share news of our latest purchase, this time for the Urgent Treatment Centre – children’s toy storage, along with a table and chairs.

We all know that visiting hospital can be stressful for adults, but for children it can feel especially bewildering. These new items are intended to provide a little comfort and distraction, helping to ease any fears during their visit.

The Urgent Treatment Centre at Johnson Community Hospital is a fantastic resource for our community, giving local people somewhere to turn when they are not feeling their best. South Holland is truly fortunate to have such a facility, and the Friends are proud to play a small part in supporting it.

By providing these items, we hope not only to make children feel more at ease, but also to give some extra help to the doctors, nurses and auxiliary staff who work tirelessly in the UTC.

Of course, none of this would be possible without the kindness and generosity of the people of South Holland and beyond. Every donation, big or small, goes towards making a difference to patients and staff at Johnson Community Hospital.

Thank you for helping us continue this work.
