We are delighted to share that the Friends have recently purchased a toaster for the Welland Ward, following a request from the nursing staff.
Bread is one of the oldest and most important staple foods in our history, dating back thousands of years. Whether it’s toasted and spread with butter, used as the base for a sandwich, or served alongside a meal, bread is an essential part of our culture.
With this new toaster, nurses and health support workers will be able to provide toast for the Welland Ward patients. We hope this small addition will bring a tasty breakfast to the patients and maybe a welcome snack during the day or evening.
Thank you, the good people of Spalding, South Holland and beyond for your ongoing support in helping us make such thoughtful contributions to our hospital community. After all, who doesn’t like toast?
