Friends of Johnson Community Hospital Donate Shredder to Blood Clinic

The Friends of Johnson Community Hospital are delighted to announce the recent purchase of a shredder for the hospital’s Blood Clinic, following a request from the nursing staff. The new equipment will help address a significant concern regarding patient confidentiality, as previously, sensitive documents had to be taken to a shredder located in another department on the first floor of the hospital.

Given the Blood Clinic’s high level of activity, this situation was both inconvenient and time-consuming for the nurses. For anyone who has visited the clinic, the bustling environment is immediately apparent, and every minute counts when it comes to patient care.

Recognising this, the Friends were more than happy to step in and provide the necessary shredder to ensure that patient information is handled securely and efficiently within the clinic itself. Once delivered, the shredder was promptly PAT tested in line with the hospital’s health and safety requirements and is now fully operational.

We are delighted to report that the shredder is already being put to good use, saving the nursing staff valuable time and safeguarding patient confidentiality. The Friends remain committed to supporting the hospital’s staff and enhancing patient care by providing essential equipment when needed.
