The Friends of Johnson Community Hospital are pleased to announce the recent purchase of a brand-new flatbed trolley in response to a request from Cherry Immink, Support Services Team Leader. The hospital’s porters rely heavily on a flatbed trolley to deliver various items around the hospital, from medication and theatre equipment to cleaning supplies and parcels. The original flatbed trolley, which had been in use since the hospital opened, had served the team well but was in dire need of replacement more especially as one of its wheels was flat.
This essential piece of equipment benefits all staff members, from Domestics and Outpatients to the doctors running clinics, ensuring that they have the tools to perform their jobs efficiently is at the heart of the Friends’ mission. The new trolley, features a robust steel construction, has a heavy-duty capacity, and is durable and has hard-wearing wheels. It’s easy to manoeuvre, making it a reliable and valuable asset for the entire General Assistant team.
At a cost of £254, these trolleys don’t come cheap, but only the best will do for our hardworking hospital staff. We are thrilled to have made this purchase, which will help General Assistants Andy Kirton and Lorraine McMorrow to continue their work smoothly and effectively.
This is just one of many ways the Friends are committed to enhancing the daily working lives of Johnson Community Hospital staff, ensuring that they have the support and equipment they need to continue providing excellent care.
