The Friends are dedicated to supporting and enhancing the well-being of the patients and the dedicated staff at Johnson Community Hospital through various fundraising and awareness activities. The Friends commitment is to work hand-in-hand with the local community and other voluntary groups to support one another's causes, raise awareness of the hospital's resources and capabilities and do everything we can to support our wonderful medical and ancillary staff but also to make life more pleasant for the patients.
Founded on the principles of compassion and community support, The Friends of Johnson Community Hospital, originally known as The League of Friends of Spalding Hospitals, has been an integral part of the Johnson Community Hospital's history since its inception. From providing simple comforts like toiletries and confectionaries to patients in its early days to fundraising for advanced medical equipment, our aim has always been to make hospital stays more comfortable and to support the health care services provided by the NHS.
To support Johnson Community Hospital through voluntary fundraising activities within the local community.
By working with the local community and other local voluntary groups to support one another's causes and raise awareness of the Hospital's resources and capabilities.
To support the wellbeing of nursing and caring staff and patients working and staying within the Hospital.
To continuously listen to the welfare needs of the staff and patients of the Hospital and create inventive, fun, and fundraising events to support those needs.
Through the generosity of our community, The Friends have been able to fund essential medical equipment and facilities, enhancing the hospital's ability to provide high-quality care. From organising fundraising events to operating a trolley shop that brings smiles and comfort to patients, our activities are geared towards making a real difference in the lives of those who rely on Johnson Community Hospital.
The Friends are all committed volunteers. Are you able to spare us some of your valuable time? We have volunteering roles to suit most people, however much time you have and whatever your experience. A warm welcome is guaranteed.
